I was told this would be the funniest horror book I ever read, and it did not disappoint. It had me hooked, and I couldn't put it down. I will now be doing finger guns every chance I get.

The Coven by Corvina Sweeney was the perfectly zany horror comedy that I needed. It’s a great palate cleanser or for anyone looking to shut their brain off and just have fun. I flew through this entertaining romp that’s filled with small town gossip and larger-than-life characters all spinning in a tornado of chaos. If the often deadpan humor is your jam, you’ll fully enjoy your stay in the sleepy town of Albany, Louisiana. Just maybe steer clear of the old Pritchard place.

Having Sam for Dinner
This was a fun book, with villains who could be your neighbors.

Corvina Sweeney has a way of bringing her readers right into the story, making you feel right in there with the characters, and, continuing with her latest gem, "Having Sam for Dinner," does exactly that. Just when I thought this author's previous book, "The Coven," couldn't be topped, along comes "Having Sam for Dinner.

Temptress of Weinberger Road
The writing is descriptive in a way that brings the setting to life. You can smell it. Though the fully-formed characters engage in the unspeakable, your allegiance shifts between them, forgiving the unforgivable in the face of what is more grotesque. There is no knowing whom to trust, who is the hunter, or who is the hunted. The story ends with a bloody twist.

Sweeney has a knack for luring and wrapping you into the mystery, sometimes giving you hints about what's really happening, and other times smacking you over the head and laughing as you fall for getting it wrong. Even the detectives in the novel are enamoured by one of the main characters, the titular Temptress, who seems to have everyone under their spell. The way Sweeney wrote her, I also found myself enchanted by her traits and the visuals conjured in my mind.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! Just when I thought The Coven couldn't be topped, this one hits the mark on equal footing, but on another level. This story runs deep, with memorable characters and vivid scenes. Do you believe in fate? Can you trust who's around you? This story is seductively mystery-filled to say the least. Corvina Sweeney knows how to keep her readers entertained and intrigued, and Tempress of Weinberger Road does exactly that. Great story! Great Plot!
